If there's a sure sign of someone who hasn't a clue about real people in the real world, it's someone who claims AI can do everything. Politicians are useless at the best of times. Turbo-charge their useless with a tech co's "magic beans" and no good decisions will come of it.

While I'm not saying everyone who works in AI is a grifter, it's a sector which does seem to attract a remarkably large number of grifter-y people...

This is absolutely true...tech folk vastly oversimplify highly complex situations to suit their software grift of the day. The only people with even less of a clue are politicians (current and former) whose oversimplification of complexity is responsible for most of our problems
