We have been following Venâncio Mondlane’s convoy as it travels through Maputo. He has returned to Mozambique and thousands have lined the streets to welcome him back. At various points police have use tear gas and live ammunition to disperse supporters

Ramaphosa was damned if he attended & damned if he didn't. RSA has huge interests in Mozambique's stability, but will for the time being tuck in behind SADC positioning, which is unlikely to have any serious impact in the near-term. Moz is far from being out of the woods!
