On this date, Oct. 2nd, 2017 we lost the great music legend Tom Petty. His musical journey began in Gainesville, Fla. at a young age with bands such as The Epics and Mudcrutch, Tom began a path which would lead to Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, and the The Traveling Wilburys’s.

Black Thursday. October 9th, 2025. There is absolutely no doubt that this infamous day will rightly take its place as one of the top 3 worst days in Philadelphia sports history. Phillies eliminated by Dodgers in an unconscionable way, Eagles manhandled by Giants and Flyers lose.

Happy 75th birthday up in rock ‘n’ roll heaven. The world is very much a lesser place without you in it TP. Rest in the power and belief of the wonderful musical legacy you left behind for us all to enjoy.

84 years ago to the day, almost to the minute “A date that will live in infamy” and changed everything, even to this day happened on Pearl Harbor. The debt we owe to our brave and courageous service men and women is immeasurable. Today we remember their ultimate sacrifices.

My boy Boulder left us 6 months ago and there’s not a day that goes by where he’s not in our thoughts.

Today would have been My Pop’s 100th Birthday. His love and dedication for our family was boundless. Miss and think about you every single day.

Happy 84th birthday to the great Graham Nash. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Graham in concert with CSNY, CSN and Solo over 10 times. Besides his obvious hits with the band, his excellent debut album “Songs For Beginners” released in 1971 remains one of my all-time faves.

RIP Robert Duvall. Quite simply one of the best to ever do it over a 60 year plus film career. From Tom Hagen to Col. Kilgore to Gus McCray and many in between Robert always stood out.

Congrats to the Stars And Stripes. When the USA won the Olympic hockey gold medal in 1960, the Eagles won the NFL Championship. When the USA won the gold medal in 1980, the Phillies won the World Series. 2026!

The USA won the Gold medal for their country, themselves and their fallen comrade, Johnny Gaudreau. I’m so proud!
