This is what a Canadian human rights crisis actually looks like! This community is 20 minutes outside of London, Ontario. Your children share classrooms with these children. It’s time for people to stand up and speak out against this grave injustice. #ldnont

Me: “If we get hit by a huge storm, it makes sense to close schools a day early.” Random people: “You just don’t want to work!!” I literally brought a backpack full of work home with me! 😂

Apparently this has angered people who have suddenly decided that anything short of 4 full credits of Shakespeare doesn’t prepare students to be successful in life. #OntEd

my hope is that elementary teachers heading back to school in the next few weeks have enough laptops for each student, enough power cords so that those laptops work, and enough technology in their room so that they can teach according to the year that we actually live in. #OntEd

This morning I witnessed two students walking up these stairs. One student stopped and said to her friend, “this is mine. This is my people!” Her friend then took a picture of her standing on “her” step. 🥹
