Thank you to everyone who came this evening to support the #PlayMatters call to action. It was so positive to hear all the aspects of play for children 0-8. Hear is to the best thing ever, connecting with other EY people showing that Play really does Matter.

Playing in mud can be a beneficial activity for children. Brain development: The sensory stimulation and increased input from mud play helps form pathways in the brain. Motor skills: Children use their smaller muscles by squishing, squeezing, scooping, mixing, and pouring mud.

Play in the EY in its purest form, is about being in the moment. It’s about exploring, experimenting, and simply enjoying the process without worrying about the destination. When we focus on outcomes, we risk stripping play of its magic & another task to tick off. #PlayMatters
