Taylor Hawkins, the longtime drummer for the Foo Fighters, has died. The band called the 50-year-old's death a “tragic and untimely loss.” apne.ws/n0Yy0cC

Watching Taylor Hawkins play the drums and listening to him anchor the Foo Fighters was one of life’s great joys. The news of his death is just heartbreaking. RIP, Taylor.

Taylor Hawkins passed away just hours before Foo Fighters were due to play Festival Estéreo in Colombia. In lieu of the performance, candles were placed on stage to honor Hawkins.
