I'll say it once and I'll say it again, sleep is incredibly important for your health and well-being! It may be harder to sleep in these difficult times but there are things you can do to maximize sleep. Great perspective from Satchin Panda theconversation.com/beyond-sanitiz…

To sum up: regular sleep times, bright days, dark nights, (outdoor) exercise, and consistent meal times can help to maintain robust #circadian rhythms, contribute to good #sleep at night, and support your health. Especially in these challenging times! 11/12

Today I'm focusing on the little things. Grateful I was remote for the first 6 months of my job, established my workspace and recently upgraded to this view. Keeping my some routine with my desk has helped keep me grounded and also get some great light exposure to help me sleep!

This article does a great job of laying out the history and strengths/weaknesses of the current peer review system. I encourage everyone to educate themselves on how to be a primary consumer of scientific articles instead of relying on media interpretation nytimes.com/article/how-to…

I think it's safe to say that even with the mask you can tell how excited I am about our new #sleep and #circadian research suite in Frisco. Having the technology available to study patients at >9000ft is remarkable!🤓💤🧠(Pic taken with Night Sight, testing dim light <1 lux)

Fascinating episode! Thanks for the research shoutout Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D.-Amazing to have been part of Dr. Ken Wright's team CUBoulderIPHY working to understand how natural light affects sleep and circadian physiology. Strongly agree, get your morning light!

Good things come in threes! That makes 3 shout outs for our camping study with Ken Wright CUBoulderIPHY in the 3 episodes I have heard so far. Again, highly recommend this episode with Dr. Samer Hattar, an enthusiastic and fascinating communicator on all things light and the eye!

No matter what the clock says, morning light exposure is essential for health. "Standard time is nothing fancy; it’s just the natural way. Why not make it permanent instead? Our bodies already want to follow the sun. Our clocks should do the same." theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

From Dave: I would like to invite you to our book premiere. Part reading, part cartoons, all fun! 9/22 4:30pm Boulder Library Meadows Branch. You helped me understand this disease, how to care for it, and what the suffering felt like. I think you’ll be pleased with the result.
