BIG TRANSIT FUNDING UPDATE Last night, the Senate & Assembly released our budget, including most of the agreement on transit. We vote on Thursday. The agreement is a strong step to address the transit operations fiscal cliff. More work remains, but this is good progress.🧵⬇️

As a reminder, post-pandemic transit ridership & fare revenue are recovering but not quickly enough to make up for the phase-out of federal emergency COVID transit relief. In the next 12-24 months — w/o financial support — various transit systems will go over the “fiscal cliff.”
