The Plymouth Nature Film Festival is returning to the city this month, exploring humans’ relationship with nature and how both are adapting in the face of global change. The festival is being held in the city’s Market Hall – in partnership with Real Ideas – on Sat 29 April.

Well @si_dickinson is getting ever close to Sweden (now in Denmark and hopefully not being attacked by gulls unlike the photo suggests!). We look forward to joining him on Friday for our undergraduate field trip to Gothenburg and Store Mosse National Park.

While some of our students will be heading to Sweden for Friday, others are already well into their field trip to Greece! Here students will be learning s variety of different aspects of environmental science and management inc. freshwater ecology, forestry and wildfire impacts!

Day one in Gothenberg! Field trip briefing before students set out into the city

Excellent weather for our first research project day here in Gothenberg - students are undertaking a range of projects including tree ecology and microclimate, urban and rural air quality measures, sustainable policy impacts and discussing fire impacts on heathland ecosystems!

Very excited that Professor Håkan Pleijel from Uni of Gothenburg is kindly giving our students a lecture this morning on Swedish management policies!
