Thanks for having us today! Thanks to Jason R.C. Nurse for his insightful moderation and to the fellow panelists: Huatong Sun, Fabrício Benevenuto, Rajiv Ratn Shah, lexing xie, and Daniel B. le Roux (Stellenbosch University) for your contributions. #ICWSM2022

Thank you Arjun Guha and Khoury College of Computer Sciences for hosting Wellesley CS summer research students today. Inspiring talks by Alexandra To Dakuo Wang @KLDoorC Jonathan Bell and David Rosen, and a great conversation with graduate students.

Very proud of my Wellesley College students for successfully completing the Science Center Summer Research program that culminated with a poster session for sharing their work. The colorful Wellesley Cred Lab t-shirts was their design.

To Wellesley College students, alums, and friends, join us (in person or virtually) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the CS department. If you cannot make it, leave us a video greeting. RSVP form and links: bit.ly/cs40RSVP

We're very thankful to Boston University, BU Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Gianluca Stringhini for hosting TTO2022 at Boston University this week. We really appreciate your support!

We were so lucky that Jo Lukito (Jo(sephine) Lukito), Saiph Savage (Dra. Saiph Savage) and Kiran Garimella (Kiran Garimella) joined us in person at #TTO22 today to share their impactful research on global disinfo. They exemplify the kind of researchers who give back to communities they study.

Wellesley’s computer science program celebrated its 40th anniversary in October, and faculty, alums, and students are looking forward to what the future may hold for the discipline. Eni Mustafaraj wellesley.edu/news/2022/stor…

Nature News & Views asks researchers to weigh in on new research papers published in Nature. It was a pleasure to write about the latest study from Ronald E Robertson, Jon Green, Damian Ruck, Katherine Ognyanova (@ognyanova.bsky.social), @bowlinearl, and 🇺🇦 [email protected].

Best #ICWSM23 paper award goes to "Google the Gatekeeper: How Search Components Affect Clicks and Attention" by @jeffreylgleason, Desheng Hu, Ronald E Robertson and @bowlinearl! Sad that @jeffreylgleason and Desheng Hu left only 10 minutes before the ceremony and missed this.Congrats!

Hey Emma Lurie, check out the 2023 ICWSM best paper from @jeffreylgleason, Desheng Hu, Ronald E Robertson and @bowlinearl on a cool Google search study: ojs.aaai.org/index.php/ICWS…. They have some citation love for your work.

CU Boulder grad student, Ian Van Buskirk, giving a great talk about his research with @aaronclauset.bsky.social and @DanLarremore about an open-source, cultural consensus approach to name-based gender classification. Thanks Ian for making your talk accessible to Wellesley CS undergraduates!

The next generation of #ICWSM researchers is so talented and friendly, a joy to spend time with. At #icwsm24 with Ronald E Robertson, Desheng Hu, Kristina Gligorić, @jeffreylgleason, Giuseppe (Peppe) Russo, Abubakar Aziz, Tiziano Piccardi, Khonzoda Umarova, and more. Visiting Niagara Falls on 06/05/24.
