I don’t understand some parenting strategies.. you leave your child to cry alone because you want to learn them to self soothe..? So you want them to learn to cry alone rather than seek comfort? Yet most would soothe a crying adult so they’re not alone.

#SEMH school logic - whole of son’s class got detention today because some children called another child in the class names. Boy outright told the teacher who hadn’t done it.. but they still had detention anyway 🙃

The burnout is real. Literally feel like I can’t lift myself back up. My hobbies don’t excite me, everything just feels mundane and boring and my body is exhausted. A day in the life of a carer.

6 weeks ago I requested a emergency EHCP review. Chased it up and turns out the SENco had it organised but just forgot to tell me the date 🤔 By now the school avoidance has started.

Best way to make an official complaint about a school? Do I have to follow their complaint policy and internally complaint to the school them self first?

Avoided covid for 2 years - test positive on Mother’s Day 🙃
