Traditional financial indicators have a role. But also measuring things that truly reveal how people are feeling and experiencing their lives is infinitely richer. It will allow government to make better decisions about what people need and want. theage.com.au/politics/feder…

The Victorian Government is considering a levy on short-stay accomodation to help fund social housing. This is a great idea, and definitely one part of the solution. Some worry this will drive up the cost of holidays—but solving the housing crisis must remain our top priority.
