When asked about where we are now that Bill 212 has passed, Mayor Olivia Chow 🇨🇦 completely ignores any opportunity to advocate for safe, protected bike lanes on Bloor. Hopefully, she is fighting for her constituents in private, because she definitely isn't doing it publicly.

Left: A Bay St CEO wants $50M in taxpayer funds to rip out bike lanes to skip the subway. Right: Ontario’s Transport Minister complains about DT traffic instead of using GO trains. Bike lane removal is about entitled elites wanting to freely drive in NA’s 4th largest city.

So this pup that's a 5-minute walk from a subway stop is providing discount drinks to celebrate Bill 212 passing. I'm sorry, but if your business is reliant on drivers being able to easily get to you in Canada's largest city then you need a new business model.

This is only the beginning. Hundreds of people on bikes shut down Bloor x Royal York to condemn Ford, Sarkaria & Hogarth's attack on vulnerable road users. On a cold Nov Friday eve no less. You people are marvelous. They should tremble when our rubber hits the road. #BikeTO

Let's be clear: Proportional Representation fosters collaboration and ensures diverse voices are heard. Adopting it could reduce tensions and make democracy more inclusive.

.Doug Ford & Prabmeet Sarkaria's disingenuous claims that EMS response times are negatively impacted by bike lanes debunked yet again. Bike lanes can be used by EMS to avoid traffic & construction like in this video. From u/andyw8 on the Reddit & Observing The City

Rant: 1) You probably can’t tell in this image, but University Ave has 1 full lane dedicated to on street parking. 2) You also can’t tell a large portion is closed for Ontario Line construction at Queen/University 3) The Gardiner construction backs up basically all on ramps,

WHICH BIKE LANE DO WE BLAME FOR THIS TRAFFIC? Banner this AM over the Gardiner pointing out the obvious, crippling traffic isn't caused by bike lanes. What bike lane has the Gardener jammed this & every morning?! fordfraud.com Vid: @BikeLaneDiary 📷Joshua Best

For the federal election, we’ve shared our plans to tackle key issues on our website: greenparty.ca/en/our-plan One of our priorities is strengthening Canadian democracy—and we believe implementing a Proportional Representation system is a great solution!

After this election, we need MPs of different stripes to work together to end FPTP and replace it with a fair, proportional voting system that truly reflects the voices of all Canadians, and decreases the pressure to vote strategically

All the western separatist people should just fight for proportional representation in elections if they feel so unrepresented. You protect a voting system that leaves you feeling like a victim, that doesn't make sense.

You shouldn’t choose an electoral system based on whether it would help or hurt your party. Nevertheless, if it helps Conservatives get over their mulish and mistaken opposition to electoral reform — it’s not as if they’ve particularly flourished under first past the post — this
