Do more of that one thing that makes you happy (or content or somewhat positive or not entirely hopeless) to be alive. That thing is key. 🔑❤️

Mental health reminder: watching your friends’ stories / social media content DOES NOT equal actually checking up on them. If you genuinely care about how someone is, reach out. A little message can go a long way. ❤️

Life hack tip to improve both your friendships & your relationships: discover & communicate your love language (there are 5: acts of service, quality time, physical touch, words of affirmation, receiving gifts). You deserve to have your needs met in a way that resonates with you.

You expressing yourself in an authentic way, creating what you want to create and accomplishing your wildest dreams will NEVER threaten someone who truly believes in themselves. They’ll clap for you and encourage you to go even further!

Asking for / needing help does not make you selfish. Ever. Even if you were raised to believe it does. In fact it is one of the most selfless things you could do as it leads to a faster recovery. Please allow yourself to be helped, held & cared for by the people who cherish you.

Anything that doesn’t add value to your wellbeing, your growth as a human or your life has no place in it. Your environment either grows with you and transforms or you outgrow it and you remove yourself. Both benefit you in the long run.

Defensiveness is a result of prolonged living in survival mode. You can thank your former self for having done what they could to protect you and you can now consciously choose to model a healthier behaviour because you know you already are safe.

One of your biggest assets as a free human is the ability for you to think for yourself. Question EVERYTHING. Do your own independent research. Listen to people whose opinions differ from yours, even if only for entertainment. Trust your gut.

Just the same way you wouldn’t want to be judged by the lowest point of your life (that most people probably don’t even know about), avoid judging others without knowing their full story. We could all use a little bit more of forgiveness and grace.

Unpopular opinion: you are not indebted to your parents for simply being alive, for having been provided with a home and a basic education. It was their obligation and your right. They wanted you to be born and that came with a set of responsibilities. That’s on them.

Beware of people who say “that’s just how I am” instead of “I’m willing to work on it”. Emotional intelligence is not something you’re born into, it’s something you grow into with commitment and consistent work on the self.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay ! May all Womxn everywhere live without ever having to be scared to be harrassed simply for existing in the body in which they do.

If someone tells you they are struggling with their mental health, believe them. If someone tells you they are feeling suicidal, believe them. Whether or not it is ‘true’ is besides the point, as they need help either way. Either offer help or point them towards someone who can.

Sometimes the people whose lives you’ve impacted the most will stay silent. Sometimes the people you’ve inspired won’t ever let you know. Keep doing what you’re doing anyways. Life’s about passion not about recognition ❤️

The right to protest, the right to assembly and the right to free speech are basic and inalienable rights in a democracy. #IWD was less than a week ago and yet womxn are being silenced right now when speaking about their experiences of opression, abuse and harassment.

Happy #WorldPoetryDay . The quill is mightier than the sword. Here’s to all of the visionnaires, boundary breakers, norm defiers and uncomfortable truths speakers. Words build worlds and have unparalleled power within them. Use them wisely. 🪶📖

Cynicism is mostly a defence mechanism of a hardened and broken heart. Don’t fall for it and don’t let it eat away at your joy. Take every opportunity to be carefree and joyful, even about the smallest things!
