Sad news about Stuart Macintyre. In higher ed, he wrote a very readable short history of the U of M and with Gwil Croucher and André Brett *No End of a Lesson*, on the Dawkins reforms & their aftermath.

This is such crushing news. Stuart was an immensely generous man, with a rich, impish sense of humour. He taught me so much about history and much else besides. Vale. (Here photographed by Farrago in 1972)
