It’s like when you ask a Walter Mitty about their military service and they say they can’t tell you because it’s top secret… then you notice they’ve carved themselves a Victoria Cross and a Boer War medal out of a box of Weetabix.

If I were a Reform or Tory spinner, I would simply splash across every leaflet that while pensioners freeze Ā£45m a year for 25 years will be paid by taxpayers for the ā€œeconomic development of Mauritiusā€

So Starmer can’t tell the British people about the necessity of surrendering the Chagos Islands due to secrecy concerns. But can tell the Mauritian government, who have strong relations with China, every time we launch a military operation from OUR OWN Airbase! Mental…

The claim that the Conservatives are responsible for the Chagos surrender deal signed by Starmer is akin to blaming someone getting flatted by a truck whilst crossing a motorway on someone who looked at the motorway and said ā€œI’m not crossing thatā€.

.Luke Pollard MP doing all sorts of mental gymnastics on Times Radio. We are a nuclear power, a P5 member of the security council and have global military projection. A flimsy court advisory shouldn’t stop us operating one of our most strategic assets in the world. Clown.

Leaders abusing their trust… No doubt Ed Davey will whistle in the wind about this too. He’s a pathetic leader who ignored other MPs abusing vulnerable people.

LOL! Govt: we will build millions of homes House builders: we need more skilled workers which takes time and cheaper energy? Govt: I know… here’s a penalty!

Taking a step back, fact there’s so much speculation about a leadership challenge to a PM elected under a year ago & a Tory leader elected 6 months ago neatly illustrates why many are concluding politics as usual is broken and are ā€œwilling to roll the diceā€ on something new
