Over last year I've been building a Senedd Election Simulator tool. It gives a useful (I hope!) visual explainer of how the new election system turns votes into seats. 🧵 on some of what it can do below: jaclarner.github.io/senedd_etholia…

Heartbreaking news. Claire made an invaluable contribution to our report on Gynecological Cancers and went on to set up her campaign which quickly gathered support and commitments to improve awareness and outcomes. She was a force of nature - intelligent and principled /1

Incredibly sad news to hear this. Like many others, I have worked with Claire on different campaigns, and more recently she used her time to campaign for improvements to health outcomes for other women with cancer. Thinking of Claire and her family at this time.

This is just heartbreaking. Claire was a fierce and passionate campaigner, all round excellent (and funny) person and a great friend. Wales is all the better for her. I’ll miss her a lot. 💔

Incredibly saddened to hear the news of Claire’s passing. A critical friend of the club through CF10 and inspirational in her handling of illness. Our thoughts go to her family, friends and colleagues at CF10

So sorry to hear this sad news. Claire was an incredible campaigner against the health inequalities that women still too often suffer. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends, and my thanks for making women’s voices heard. Diolch Claire a chwsg mewn hedd.

Claire leaves a lasting legacy of campaigning on behalf of others. She always did so with courage, selflessness and grace. My sincere condolences to her friends and family at this terribly sad time.

I'm so very sad that Claire O'Shea has died. I really hoped she'd have had more time after her diagnosis. At every political event or in any pub she was always the first to bound over with lovely friendly chat. She played a big role in Wales and would've had a huge future too. XX

Sir Keir Starmer’s government is deeply unpopular. Like those across Britain, voters in Caerphilly (a Welsh county with an upcoming by-election) are angry about immigration, economic stagnation and cuts to pensioners’ benefits economist.com/britain/2025/1…
