I know people said not to bother trying to get a picture of the eclipse on your phone during totality but I can't stop looking at this relatively crappy picture I took

This doesn't seem very safe. You not only might get wet or bombarded with hail, but what if a lightning bolt arcs through your body halfway to the ground?

"Kashmir" is one of the most important musical works of the 20th century, up there with Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue." With dual off-synch time signatures, "Kashmir" transcends mere rock-n-roll, remaining unique and iconic a half century later, a musical "total solar eclipse."

Sad story from a woman who listened to the BAD ADVICE from the know-nothing ophthalmologists who ruined the eclipse for many. cleveland.com/letters/2024/0…

The April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse in a blend of 18 exposures from short (for the pink prominences) to long (for the coronal streamers) to try to match the view by eye and telescope. Shot thru a 105mm refractor from Lac Brome, Quebec. #TSE2024 #totalsolareclipse2024 TWAN

This impressive video of a lightning apparently striking two cars, is a proof you're relatively safe not thanks to the tires, but because a car is a Faraday cage [📽️ LSC/Michaelle Paul Whalen]

This sort of spikey view is how the #EclipseOverCleveland might have appeared had we not had so much cirrus cloud. Not that I'm complaining!

Hold on to those eclipse glasses! As long as the lenses are still in good shape, you can use them for safe solar viewing every day. Sometimes you can even see sunspots (darker, cooler spots on the Sun) with just your eclipse glasses, no magnification required!

Millions of viewers were wowed by last week’s total solar eclipse. Now, we get to see the eclipse from another angle: space. buff.ly/3U795Z7

If you look closely at the 8 o’clock position from the Sun, halfway out this amazing image, you can see a comet in its death throes, just before it got vaporized. Image: Petr Horálek (Institute of Physics in Opava) Details: esa.int/ESA_Multimedia…
