We tried a new warmup activity Sir John A Macdonald today: Jump & Switch! A little tough going at first, but it got our heart rates up and ready for class. Thanks WannaTeachPE for the inspiration!

We did a lot of learning during #BlackHistoryMonth Sir John A Macdonald . These flip books were awesome. Ss studied one influential figure, giving them the chance to recognize the struggle these people experienced as they paved the way through resilience, advocacy, and innovation.

Micrography Art Sir John A Macdonald. Students studied biographies, speeches, song lyrics, and poems about influential figures in #blackhistory. To say these turned out incredible is an understatement. So much effort.

Students are empowered when their learning is validated by the adults in their lives. Empowered students rise above challenges and achieve excellence. In E Charbonneau's class, the code is normalized not just for the kid learning it, but for everyone else too. My happy place.🥲

Grade 7s have been investigating the particle theory of matter Sir John A Macdonald. Ss made observations of particle reactions to changing temperatures with our food colouring & salt water mixtures. Boiling water was a hit for both experiments!

Come to Canada! Ss Sir John A Macdonald have been working on persuasive writing, and developed comics meant to persuade someone to visit or move to Canada. An excellent tie in to our Grade 6 social studies curriculum, too! #crosscurricular

We experimented with pure substances and mixtures Sir John A Macdonald this week. Ss added two pure substances into a beaker, and checked whether they formed a mixture or not. How did they know? How does this relate to particle theory of matter? 🧪

A student in my class has been apprehensive about learning braille, something so different from his peers. So we turned that attitude into a learning opportunity for the class as a whole. A huge thank you to Mr. Intini for your presentation Sir John A Macdonald yesterday! Braille User

We learned how to play cricket Sir John A Macdonald today! A S in our class enthusiastically tackled the opportunity to teach his peers how to play his favourite sport from back home. Patience & explicit instructions go a long way. The class is eager to try this out again next week!

If you had told me back in Sept that one of the highlights from my year would be listening to a presentation on "Land Reclamation," I wouldn't have believed you. And yet, today happened. My thx to his peers who appreciate risk taking, hard work and grit. He's lucky to have you.

After being approached by Greg Lavoie to complete a welcome mural, I had the opportunity to collaborate with this S to create an inclusive piece to represent our school community. Her vision could not have been more perfect. Definitely my new favourite spot Sir John A Macdonald Thames Valley DSB

It’s a brand new year with a new mix of interests in Grade 7 Sir John A Macdonald. This week we discovered various facts about each of us, making connections in the form of paper chain links. Hung up in our class as a reminder that we all share some commonalities.

Group Drawing Challenge: draw a house without touching the marker. It must include a roof, door, and 2 windows. Great collaborative discussion with a few laughs Sir John A Macdonald this afternoon!

Just a few of our strictly paper structures from our challenge with E Charbonneau to hold at least one textbook - these 7’s worked hard, we’re determined and thrived on the competition Sir John A Macdonald #tvdsb

The third floor Sir John A Macdonald competed to explode their pumpkins this afternoon! Lots of patience and cooperation with these hearty pumpkins. When we ran out of elastic bands, we did the next best thing… Stacey Pungitore

Grade 7s Sir John A Macdonald got to put their fur trading skills to the test! Unaware of the true value of their items until the very end, ‘European’ & ‘First Nations’ traders negotiated with each other to try to get the best deal on several trading missions. Stacey Pungitore
