A good morning in the north of the area, around the top pond at Yearsley a stunning male Redstart and a pair of Siskin with the female collecting nesting material. Elsewhere amazed to stumble across a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, not seen one for years! York Birding

Probably one of my best nights for Nightjar in the York area. 4 churring males, 2 chasing each other for about half an hour constantly wing clapping and cooicking, then 2 birds checking me out down to a few feet on the walk back to the car York Birding
