We have to stop burning fossil fuels. They are the reason our electricity is so expensive and as the UN Secretary General António Guterres said recently the road away from ‘Climate Hell’ will be paved by renewables.

It’s time to be more targeted in allocating active travel fundings. Those councils willing to build with ambition, speed and low-cost solutions should get most of the funding. Those who don’t should be asked to come up with more ambitious plans. #greenway irishtimes.com/opinion/2025/0…


The latest EPA Ireland projections raise real alarm about the need for more climate action but some of the data could also give you hope. As this table shows in the last 5 years we came close to meeting our targets. Change is possible once you’ve the right political will.
