4th grade in the STEM Computer Lab applied their knowledge of our Solar System to a coding activity on Tynker. Prior to coding, the students collected research on each planet. They would include at least 3 facts for each planet in their project.

4th and 5th grades made gnomes in their Art class with Ms. Kingi using hand building techniques (pinch pot & coils; score & slip); glazing; firing process (AND what happens when there is too much moisture in the clay during the firing process–several gnomes exploded in the kiln).

HighTouch HighTech paid a visit to the 3rd grade on May 8th. They learned some more about rocks, soils and minerals in hands-on fun centers.

2nd grade in the STEM Computer Lab is applying their knowledge of force and motion in their journals and in their crafts. All 3 Laws of Motion can be found in The Dancing Person!

Kindergarten learning the FUNdamentals of coding using Indi cars. Each color square correlates to a speed or direction the little car will travel. This reinforced the concept that coding is the instructions that tell a computer what to do.
