It'd be nice if Comcast (and therefore other sports teams) had joined the PA Transit For All Coalition as well. The 9pm curfew will prevent fans from using trains to get home from almost all games and events, seems like a big deal!

I’m convinced the main reason the US doesn’t feel like a wealthy country is cars - the obvious cost of owning, maintaining, storing, and building the entire world around them AND the less obvious cost to public health of car culture like obesity, lost leisure time, etc.

I just learned that PA subsidizes horse racing to the tune of $200M per year. That's very close to SEPTA's shortfall ($213M). News: The Pennsylvania House has passed a bill to increase state transit funding by, and double that hike by 2028 unless lawmakers adopt a different solution, with bipartisan support. It goes to the state Senate amid a ticking clock for SEPTA and other agencies across the state.
