A2) I have a great, thoughtful administrative intern who prepares activities for the staff that takes their mind off of the work of the day (duck hunt, lunch from area resturants on Friday's and reaching back to provide field trips for grades who missed trips last Yr. #VAESPChat
A3) My math specialist put multiplication facts at stopping points around the building. At dismissal a first grade student knew the answer to a multiplication problem, when the question was asked to a fourth grader. 1st grader said he saw fact by gym door #VAESPChat
#A1) We did a Christmas Functional Text activity with three stations. The parents were able to make a ginger bread house with their kids. We raffled off a television and provided pizza. A story was read aloud to the students and parents to end the session.
#A2) We are fortunate to have a family engagement specialist and she does an excellent job involving parents and collecting their input for a variety of activities in and around the school.
A3) Engaged familes have more opportunities to have specific discussions about school activities and events. Students get the chance to share their opinions with their parents about their school experiences.
