The Executive Council of FAPUASA expressed serious concerns over the end of the 25% tax rebate exemption for university teachers. Central President Amjad Magsi emphasized that the termination of this exemption would result in decreased salaries for many university staff.

In an open letter to Shehbaz Sharif FAPUASA demanded restoration of 75% tax rebate 4 Uni faculty. President Amjad Magsi said withdrawal of tax exemption directly effect the academia & universities wil be handicapped to play their effective role in the development of country.
