2/3 As a theologian, I'd wonder if what he calls "myth" is always parallel to "religion" (contra Kołakowski) thus his problematization of "defilement"/"desecration" mark modes of true/false worship.

3/3 Thus, I'm inclined to think his conclusion, that the tech/myth conflict might be fruitful, signals that the "technological" inevitably does have a "mythical"/"religious" commitment.
