This #grasshopper is laying eggs in the soil! The eggs are laid in 'pods'. The outside of the pod is hard and covered in soil particles. Did you know the eggs are placed so that when the young grasshoppers emerge they are facing towards the top?! #scicomm #agriculture #insects
