Excellent letter in Telegraph today. We are in the NHS family and don’t have customers we can charge more to offset this cost. This will lead to less doctor, receptionist and nurse time. #GPNIBombshell

New guidance highlights the risks of Tofacitinib, Filgotinib, Upadacitinib, and Ozanimod for #IBD in women of childbearing age. These therapies should be avoided during pregnancy/breastfeeding, with alternatives recommended pre-conception 🔗 journals.sagepub.com/doi/epdf/10.11…

Very excited to share our IBD multi-biome analysis evaluating bacteriome, phageome, mycobiome, and their interactions. We found the distinct multi-kingdom interactions of the gut microbiome in UC and CD. Suguru Nishijima, #NaoyoshiNagata, Nature Communications nature.com/articles/s4146…

Post hoc analysis of the OASIS and ELEVATE UC trials shows non-serious adverse events (eg. headache, dizziness) were slightly more frequent with etrasimod vs placebo in UC patients, but all events were short-lived, reaffirming etrasimod's safety profile 🔗journals.sagepub.com/doi/epdf/10.11…

More systemic adverse events & infections in placebo-controlled trials in #IBD. Something many of us patients & physicians have been advocating against. We need the U.S. FDA to help us & seriously consider comparator agent trials now that we have more therapies 🙏🏽 #AIBD2024
