A wonderful talk by Dr Jeremy Parrott Dickens Fellowship The Charterhouse this evening 👏👏
Today is the birthday of Catherine Elizabeth Macready Perugini, the younger Dickens daughter. She was born here in 1839 and was still alive when we opened as a museum in 1925. Lucinda Hawksley will be giving a talk on Katey TODAY at 2pm (UK Time). dickensmuseum.com/blogs/all-even…
One of my absolute highlights working at the Dickens Museum was seeing this Leech sketch up close. This was the first time Scrooge had EVER been depicted artistically, and he has barely changed since! Plus Marley's ghost has some of the greatest lines in literature...
Did you manage to catch Lucinda Hawksley's brilliant talk on Katey Dickens yesterday? If not, don't worry! We recorded the session and its now available on our Youtube channel! youtu.be/SIPBTrSJScg Enjoy!
Dickens Fellowship’s speaker at The Charterhouse in London next Tuesday - 18 November - is Professor Carolyn Oulton of Canterbury Christ Church University. 6pm for 6:30pm start.
