In the near 4 years I’ve lived in Texas, this is the first time I’ve seen water in Cibolo Creek with water. #txwx

Heavy rainfall and flash flooding potential has increased for late tonight, especially over the Edwards Plateau and Hill Country. We are now looking at 2 to 4 inch rainfall totals with isolated amounts up to 9 inches. Most of the heaviest rains are expected after 3 AM CDT.

Early morning recon confirms that #Erin is undergoing rapid intensification and is now a major hurricane with winds of ~125 mph. The extrapolated pressure has cratered to 947mb.

#Erin is just a downright incredible hurricane. I cannot remember the last time I tracked an Atlantic hurricane with a pinhole eye this small & stable/persistent since at least Wilma (2005). This evening's recon flight into #Erin ought to be very interesting to say the least
