My 2023 advice for all young engineers: Respect a running system. There are reasons it works that way, most of which will be uncovered when you try to replace it. Make incremental changes, don't burn the building down. No one way doors. Never be unable to rollback.

What a nice surprise to see a project you’re working on in another’s talk demo! Thank you Saad Najmi for this great talk at App.js Conf 🗓️ 27-29 May 2026, it was really inspiring to see how easily #ReactNativeCalendars can be integrated into a macOS application! 📆➡️💻

Working on a project that still utilizes the cls-hooked package, despite its lack of maintenance and the presence of a security vulnerability. What is the simplest solution in this case? I have been unable to find any projects that address the security issue. #nodejs #javascript

Great article by Camille Fournier. Seen it many times: teams constantly rewrite and refactor code, neglecting new feature development. Refactors become never-ending, leaving devs stuck maintaining old code. skamille.medium.com/avoiding-the-r…

Teams with a high quality bar for code reviews are great places to grow professionally. But this same high quality bar can feel intimidating when being a recent joiner. Empathetic engineers pay additional attention for new joiners when doing the first few code reviews:
