Not that the incompetence of the Motherwell FC executive board was in doubt, but they sent me two votes (one accurate, one with a false middle name), plus a vote for my 7-year-old. Though he prob a shareholder, can study info later. Big relief only The Well Society vote matters!

It’s actually close to £4m over 3 years, hadn’t reached this table which outlines further spending. Bear in mind the Heads of Terms specify that the Well Society will have zero control over strategy and financial decisions

Further proof, if it were needed, of a shambolic offer to conclude a shambolic process. Well done to the six-sevenths of the Society board who continue to protect the long-term security of Motherwell FC and have created a viable vision for growth on top.

We recommend our members vote against the the investment bid from Wild Sheep Sports. We believe fan-owned Motherwell is Our Club, Our Future.

The level of debt the Wild Sheep plan for Motherwell FC is likely to incur could put the entire future of the club in jeopardy. The numbers don’t stack up. The excessive spend won’t return profit. The focuses show a complete lack of understanding of the club. It has to be no.

The fact Barmack has been spelt incorrectly four times here - and the statement’s been published an hour and 37 minutes after voting opened - tells you everything you need to know about the executive board’s role in this entire process.

Both sides understandably partisan on future of Motherwell FC but reading a balanced timeline on the BBC for me only repeats how insane this all is. It didn't say how much advertising income has increased Pie & Bovril 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 mind, possibly the biggest winner from the whole sorry episode!

We have been in the news today as former Well Society and Motherwell FC chairman Brian McCafferty outlined that the Wild Sheep Sports investment deal would risk Motherwell's financial future. You can find the latest from BBC Sport at the link below: bbc.com/sport/articles…

Valid points here questioning the motives of some Motherwell FC for pushing such a lopsided, unnecessary deal. But key takeaway is the The Well Society can emerge greatly strengthened and energised. Post-vote normal members must up their game as six of the board have done already.

Shows the distorted power structure at Motherwell - and how this deal got so far - when the chairman feels he can call out the majority shareholder on the club website with questions he knows they shouldn't answer. Imagine Peter Lawwell doing that to Dermot Desmond? Unthinkable.

A fantastic thread with many highlights. Must admit that while I always understand short-term hopes for investment, the view in this debate that fan-ownership hasn't worked was mind-boggling. It's in black and white it has been a huge success, even allowing for some recent bumps.

A St Johnstone fan contacted me overnight to compare the finances of Borussia Dortmund, Celtic and St Johnstone. So here are the key figures. In terms of revenue, Dortmund have 2.9x the revenue of Celtic, who in turn generate 24.4x the revenue of St Johnstone.

On such days the immortal words in 2002 of former Whitehall permanent secretary Sir Richard Mottram re-echo down the ages: “We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. We're all completely fucked.”
