Storm Éowyn is slowly easing now. Top gust I recorded was 94 km/hr at 5:15 am. That is 10 km/hr less than Storm Darragh for here. One notable feature though is that yellow level wind gusts (>90 km/hr) for Éowyn lasted for 6 hours, whereas for Darragh it was spread over 3hrs.

I have no idea because of very limited Internet access the degree to which the scale of the disaster in is being covered in the media, but there are whole towns in Tipperary Laois and Limerick with no power or water tonight. V eerie to drive through a town with no street lights.
