It’s a liberal reflex to posture as superior to ppl unequivocally naming a systematic, violent pattern of behavior by saying things like “I’m not a fan of blanket cop-bashing/white ppl-bashing/man-bashing/doctor-bashing, but…” It’s an “I’m so much better than THOSE ppl” move.

Misrepresent, then flatteringly contrast oneself to that misrepresentation. They always think they’re introducing nuance when they are actually just attempting to posture as superior to the people willing to name a pattern directly without a dance of equivocation and excuses.

I'm beginning to think so much could be solved if doctors were required to study basic sociology, basic philosophy (epistemology of science, etc), history of medicine, and basic communication. Some of this may be on the books, but you wouldn’t know it to listen to them.

Why is the ABC acting as a mouthpiece for an alleged war criminal?

HCPs are human and make mistakes. The problem lies in these attitudes that dismiss, minimize, brush aside and generally suggest that it’s just the cost of being a patient lol. Most HCPs I dealt with in reviews were not like this thankfully. But wow medtwitter is stuffed with it.

I am absolutely not required to listen to misinformation on here, even if the person spewing it thinks he’s more educated than I am. And guess what, sweetie — you’re not. 😒
