Huge congratulations to Jenny Leestma (Jenny Leestma, GaTech PoWeR Lab) and Keaton Scherpereel on receiving the #NSFGRFP Fellowship!! We're very proud of you two! Robotics@GT Georgia Tech ME
We have a Dr. in the house! Congratulations to Dr. Jonathan Camargo (Jonathan Camargo) who successfully defended his dissertation, becoming the first doctoral student to graduate from the EPIC Lab! Robotics@GT Georgia Tech ME
.Robert Downey Jr here I come! Thrilled to try out the hip exosekeleton developed in the EPIC Lab with Aaron Young, Dean Molinaro, and others! Thank you for letting me try it out!
Congratulations to Dr. Krishan Bhakta for successfully defending his dissertation!! Krishan Bhakta's work focused on improving intelligence of robotic transfemoral prostheses. Georgia Tech ME
Our recent work using deep learning for ankle exo control is out now in IEEE RA-L and will be presented by Max Shepherd at #icra2022! Great initial results with the #opensource trained model parameters available for anyone using the Dephy #exoboots.
We're excited to share that our mechanical engineering graduate program has moved up to 4th in the nation out of 180 programs ranked by U.S. News & World Report. Nuclear engineering is ranked 9th, and Georgia Tech College of Engineering is 7th overall.
CONGRATULATIONS to Carlos and Christoph (Christoph Nuesslein), both first-year Robotics@GT PhD students in our lab, on receiving the #NDSEG fellowship! We are all so proud of you two!!
Continuously estimating human ambulation mode in time can lead to more reliable and seamless exoskeleton control. Please check out or most recent work by Inseung Kang using deep learning to continuously estimate the mode using only a few wearable sensors!
Check out our new paper in Science Robotics! We're excited to share our framework for intelligent task agnostic exoskeleton control. Great work from Drs. Dean Molinaro, Inseung Kang, and Aaron Young.
