Possible LTNs = Social Apartheid There is nothing fair about discriminating btwn people living in the same borough/town/city. Fining people for driving into a 'protected zone' Cause business to close Create congestion LTNs don't work - it's no myth it's reality.

Ken Loach is 89 today. Ever since I first discovered him & his films, about 40 years ago, he’s been a big hero of mine. He’s spent his whole life fighting for a different kind of society, through both his films & his activism. (1/7)

A visual of what it feels like at times to be an unpaid carer When a disabled person is failed by the system, it’s often their parent or carer who sounds the alarm. And it’s always the carer who pays the price — emotionally, financially, and physically. #UnpaidCarers 🪡

If unpaid carers were paid min wage (£12.21/hr), they’d get: • 35 hrs = £427.35 • 60 hrs = £732.60 • 80 hrs = £976.80 • 100 hrs = £1,221.00 But they get just £83.30/week — no matter how many hours they do over the 35 It’s not support — it’s exploitation #UnpaidCarers 🪡

Irony is dead. They actually posed for this photo this morning - before banning Palestine action in the afternoon. The sufragettes were the very model of non-violent direct action.

Anybody who says "genuinely disabled people have nothing to worry about" has clearly never interacted with the DWP or been through an "assessment"

Sarah Vine The Motability Scheme is funded by claimants’ Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or DLA mobility component. It’s not a government gift, and access is assessed under strict DWP criteria. Misrepresenting it like this fuels stigma and misinformation.

A society that forces unpaid carers to hold up signs just to ask for rest is a society that’s failing. Sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s a basic human need. Why is no one in government calling out this abuse? #ProtestFromHome #GiveCarersABreak

Well said 👏 by Lord Frost contributing to the debate in the House of Lords about the proposed Children's Schools and Wellbeing bill. Decision makers need to note facts such as this, not what hype ministers and the media feed them. #homeeduk

So, a judicial review finds that making a child sit in silence for 6 hours, staring at the walls of an "isolation booth" for 83 days of the year is not against the law. I'm with Dickens on this: "If the law supposes that, the law is an ass." share.google/2lCYyqzfphbhmi…
