Matt provided excellent modeling of how to use Desmos. He treated me like a student at times, and although it was uncomfortable for me, it caused me to reconsider how I present things to my students. He pledged his ongoing help too! #RPDP19

I have had more than one presenter mention using different online calculators, and I feel relief. I honestly feel memorization of facts is no longer the most important part of learning math. I would rather encourage the appropriate use of technology. #RPDP19

My 8th graders helped me brainstorm ways to engage my 6th graders. They came up with my turning a whoduniit game into "Who's the imposter?" They helped me come up with characters, locations, and methods. One student even created a document of images for me. So grateful.

Today a student brought a roly poly to class that they found outside at lunch time. She wanted to know its gender before naming it. With Google’s help, I now know how to determine the gender of a roly poly. This one is male. #iteachmath
