Knowledge, judgment, and expertise are field-specific, and so is BS The way a philosopher will BS in an academic paper to get nonsense past others is different from how an economist or a medical professional will BS. Peer review detects the BS of your peers

I go to a lot of churches each week. You’d be surprised at how often God offers His loving mercy to us. That’s it. That’s His life.

This attitude inevitably makes people isolated and lonely. The therapy-culture idea that you should cut off any relationship once it gets even a bit difficult is so toxic. All meaningful relationships are sometimes draining. We need each other!
