Ending the block function is a stalker's charter - and as such may also be illegal. But primarily it's about Musk hating how people block the spam content on here, including his own, and him wanting to control what people see. It will accelerate X's downward spiral.

I'm now on 🦋 and will be posting almost exclusively on there from now on for comment. Same handle. I'll still lurk here for what others are saying for the time being.

This is what happens when your military production supply chain depends on Chinese part. Something experts (👋) have repeatedly warned against.

This is what "escalation management" looks like, Jake Sullivan, Joe Biden, Olaf Scholz. The world's worst regimes are collaborating to destroy you and you won’t even defend the front line in Ukraine.

Stop fantisising about some sudden European awakening. We failed to plan for the high likelihood of a Trump return, we’ll fail to react to it too. Until there’s actual war, short-term political interest always trumps (geddit) the long-term good. In the UK and everywhere else.

Judging by the costs of public infrastructure, I presume that the Anglophone countries may be more vetocratic compared with, let's say, continental Europe Harder to build anything whatsoever

I've written an article on how Trump (or, in theory, any president in much the same position) could establish an effective dictatorship in the US. I'm not saying I've solved the Gödel’s Loophole mystery but, you know, maybe. Details at politicalbetting.com .

This is good to see. Crypto mafia was conspiring with their dictator to shove Bitcoin down the throats of everyday El Salvadorans. The only problem? They f*cking hate it.

Excellent move. The UK should do likewise. (Presumably it doesn't limit donations from just billionaires: no person or organisation should be able to buy influence by large donations)

This is dangerously close to a direct attack by Russia against two NATO states. It's impossible that a ship so fitted was not acting under orders. However, let's play nice. Just impound it until its owners pay for the cost of their damage.

4/ Let Trump negotiate with himself, inside his head, as he makes deals with no one over territory he doesn’t control between nations he doesn’t lead. Trump is a reality television star defiling the presidency, but he is constrained by many forces. He is not emperor of

Quite. UK defence strategy is dangerously vulnerable if it relies on the US for core aspects. Britain should be moving as quickly as possible towards self-production or - where that's not possible - European cooperation. National security cannot be dependent on Trump's mood.

And that gets to a deeper issue. The real problem everyone is wrestling with is that Britain's industrial power costs are WAY too high. That stifles ALL activity. If we have billions to spend, surely it would be better spent bringing this red bar down? x.com/EdConwaySky/st…
