Last night’s Transition Club with Modern Foreign Languages was a blast! 🇫🇷🇪🇸 We had 40 future Year 7s join us, and the sessions were super engaging. Some even said it had been their favourite one so far on the way out! A big well done to the MFL team for a brilliant evening! 👏

🎶🎨 Another brilliant evening at our Year 7 Transition Club this week with a focus on Music and Art! We had an amazing turnout with 90 students getting involved, making music, creating art, and building new friendships. It was fantastic to see everyone engaging and having fun!

Great to welcome Tanveer Hussain from the Bank of England to DACA! He spoke to Year 10 about the role of the Bank and personal finance. He also met with some of our Year 12s discussing their views on whether the UK might become a cashless society! 💼💬

Yesterday, our Year 7 students had the fantastic opportunity to hear from Christina Gabbitas, a well-known children’s author. She delivered a powerful and engaging talk on the dangers of vaping, using storytelling to highlight an important message for young people.📖💬

🤝 Transition Computing & Technology💡 We had an amazing day welcoming 75 future Year 7s who jumped straight into teamwork and problem-solving challenges! From cracking codes to designing solutions together, it was brilliant to see their collaboration and creativity in action.

🖥️💡 Yesterday, 10 of our Year 8 students attended the CyberFirst Megahub event at Blackburn College! They took on a range of exciting tech challenges, including AI activities and coding a Sphero Mini Robot Ball 🤖🎯 Best of all – DACA Group 1 came out as overall winners! 🏆
