The weather may be good enough to have our event but we had a problem develop when trying to observe remotely last night--the mirror doors would not open. We are going to try to open them manually today and will email whether that worked, and whether the event is still on.

On Thursday, the 13th, we will open up for the late total lunar eclipse by 11:30pm. This eclipse event will be free, unticketed, drop-in. The Moon enters the darkest part of the shadow a little after 1 am and totality begins at 2:30. See dso.appstate.edu for details

Tonight's DSO event is CANCELLED due to weather. The forecast is for clouds, rain, and thunderstorms--useless and too dangerous. Tickets will be refunded. Our next event will be late August, probably the 30th.
