my latest investigation for Consumer Reports is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day — some by more than 10 times !

I use squarespace for my online shop and the AI auto reply suggestion keeps prompting me to lie about a death in my family whenever someone messages me to ask about their order

Increasingly, AI reminds me of the Lotus-Eater island in the Odyssey. It offers all manner of pleasures and the prospect of never having to work or think again. But the Lotus-Eaters became indolent vestiges of their former selves. We must heed the warnings of the old tales.

You DON’T need to go into debt for an air purifier. You can just build your own, or choose one of the MANY affordable models that for whatever reason don’t show up on the list below 🤔 Don’t be duped into buying an overpriced, underperforming device: housefresh.com/air-purifiers/

You can make a Tempest with nothing but foamcore, tape and whatever secondhand PC fans you can put your hands on- even mismatched, and it will still out perform many commercial filters. github.com/opennukit/Nuki…

HouseFresh Another consideration now, unfortunately, is replacement filter DRM/lock-in (akin to printer ink refill lock-in) being implemented by at least one of the pricey HEPA brands Filter replacement costs can be a dealbreaker, especially when uncompetitive 📎 youtu.be/LCu_n2Nddu0

So I dug a little deeper into this app and found that they say this on every page: "No independent Product Testing; Oasis does not conduct independent testing of products or brands unless we explicitly say so on a page. " I feel bad for people who pay for the app and get duped.

Because with PE, everything that used to be a tool that did a simple job is a wealth extraction tool first, and whatever it used to do second. Only now it does it poorly- usually with ads. You can't make an anvil without an app with PE because there's no recurring income,
