Doudna Lab @igisci @enrique_lins We also create a new fusion protein of Cas9 to PRDM9, a methyltransferase involved in meiotic recombination. The fusion protein decorates chromatin at target sites with H3K4me3 and H3K36me3 and improves HDR efficiency and HDR:indel ratio at multiple genomic loci.
This is an excellent commentary from Melinda Mills & Iain Mathieson on our recent IMR GWAS paper with Yuchang Wu Jason Fletcher. The comment on population stratification is great summary of the challenges we faced in the study and shed light on some general problems with GWAS too
