We’ve been producing nozzles for nearly 50 years now. But what exactly is a nozzle and what are its advantages? A ship propeller rotates in the water with its blades. A nozzle reduces losses by restricting water flow to the propeller tips, resulting in increased efficiency.

It all started back in 1990, when we opened our wholly-owned production facility in Gdansk. Our Polish colleagues not only manufacture our manoeuvring equipment, such as rudders and nozzles, but also assemble and even spray-paint the equipment, tailored to client specifications.

DMC performed a thorough check on the Castorone, one of the largest Pipe Laying Vessels in the world and owned by Saipem. Recently she was in dry dock for her 5-years class renewal. During this period DMC checked the rudders and steering gear and made sure they were good to go.
