The reason Toronto’s city leaders and car-crazy boomer voters won’t pedestrianize major destination streets for summer is that once we start, they’ll never be able to take them away. They would be too popular.

After the 8th & 9th Avenue protected bike lanes were installed, locally-based businesses saw retail sales soar. Bikes are good for business! 💰

We had a blast at Cycle Toronto's Bike to Work Day & the other #bikemonth events we've attended from London to Ottawa. Seeing hundreds of people on bikes at these events sends a strong message to all our elected officials that we are numerous & we desrve to be safe!
