THANK YOU to everyone who donated & bought a t-shirt from our first food security fundraiser!!! We sold 52 shirts and raised $1615.23 to help fund #NYC food banks. THREE new t-shirts & a new campaign unveil this week, in partnership with Met Council. curbcorn.com
Curb Corn would like to thank everyone who: Bought a T-shirt Donated Retweeted Liked & Laughed about "Maize Incedentalis" for the last 25 days. What's left to do? We're getting ready to help more people find Curb Corn International: Brooklyn and fund local food banks here in #Brooklyn & everywhere!
To clarify: This was the first Curb Corn International: Brooklyn fundraiser. It was NOT the first "Curb Corn" fundraiser - that honor goes to Peg Shlanta & 57th Street Corn who still hold the "Kernel of Records" at over $1700 raised for Iowa food banks after the 2020 Derecho.
Curb Relish (Curb Corn International: Brooklyn) continues to amaze. Someone's gardening here, out in the open, on an avenue in Brooklyn, in a crack in the sidewalk. The crossroads of an industrial block, a rec center, a residential area & a high school. The ripe tomatoes & onions keep disappearing.
Photo for scale & perspective. The Curb Relish Curb Corn International: Brooklyn site is just cracks in the concrete, out in the open. Hard to tell if it's MTA or NYC land. Someone put this here on purpose, and camouflaged it too. Urban guerrilla gardening at its finest, someone's eating this stuff.
Elijah brought Wakko a copy of the New York Daily News yesterday, with six possible Mayoral candidates on the cover. Somehow, it feels like there's a face missing from the crowd. Someone who could unite the city. #YouKnowWhoYouAre Find Curb Corn, Find Hope curbcorn.com/startyours/
Wakko the Vitagraph Curb Corn International: Brooklyn is alive and well! A little tattered on their southern facing leaves, and no sign of an ear yet. They were almost knocked over by a large bundle of amazon boxes, but survived it with little sign of injury. Find CurbCorn curbcorn.com/startyours/
This could well be the end of Wakko, the Curb Corn International: Brooklyn planted by the Warner Bros.! OK, so they were planted "Right By The Warner Brothers Vitagraph Studo" and that's only SORT OF the same thing. Wakko helped us raise over $1600 for food security in NYC! Root for Wakko! #SaveWakko
It's true. Like the Ave.H Curb Corn Five of the Yom Kippur Mulching, or 57th Street Corn cut down in a brutal act of gardening: Wakko is no longer "planted" on our planet. Find Curb Corn: Find Hope! Start a food security campaign in your community. Here's how: curbcorn.com/startyours
Wakko the Vitagraph Curb Corn International: Brooklyn was resting in their glass, waiting for the days to pass, and roots to grow. Our "corn specialist" snuck into a "corn specialist free" room and "diagnosed" the recovering stalk. Recovery less likely. Help fund food banks: donate.curbcorn.com
CURB CORN LIVES! For now. Wakko the Vitagraph Curb Corn International: Brooklyn survived being cut down. They survived a visit from the "Corn Specialist" No roots yet, but they haven't given up the spark of life entirely. Our Mission: Find curb corn. Find Hope. Fund food. donate.curbcorn.com
Everyone who signed up for the limited edition Ave H Curb Corn International: Brooklyn T-shirt should be getting theirs this week! The new campaign is already underway, news to follow. Thank you Lee for your support! donate.curbcorn.com
There's a 57th Street Corn Street Corn Costume out there!
