New publication! Our colleague Cristina Formenti has recently published an essay titled: “Paola Cortellesi: Artistic Versatility, Gender Equality, and the Use of Promotional Interviews in the (Re-)Negotiation of a Star’s Image.”

This chapter is part of the open-access collection 'Italian Contemporary Screen Performers' (Palgrave, 2024), which Cristina co-edited. It explores the star persona of Italian A-lister Paola Cortellesi, focusing on the evolution of the role of feminism in her public image.

We continue our course spotlight with 'Animation in the Digital Age'! This course explores the artistic and cultural significance of animation today, introducing students to key forms, techniques, and theoretical debates.

Excited to share that Cristina Formenti (Cristina Formenti) has contributed to 'Flee: A Docalogue', ed. by Jaimie Baron and Kristen Fuhs. Her chapter situates Flee within established modes of animated documentary, highlighting its place within the broader context of European cinema.
