🚨 BREAKING: The Indiana Senate just passed a bill that would allow public school districts to establish on-site school chaplains to counsel students. HB 1137 subverts freedom of religion, and would almost certainly lead to unconstitutional government promotion of religion.

Student counseling should be provided by trained, certified school professionals—not unlicensed, government-selected clergy. Because lawmakers used procedural shenanigans to get the proposal passed in the Senate, HB 1137 will now head back to the Indiana House for consideration.

BREAKING: The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals is allowing Indiana’s ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth to take effect immediately. This ruling is beyond disappointing and a heartbreaking development for thousands of trans youth, their doctors, and their families.
