Mark Ruffalo No I’m sorry but they did not address racism. They showed a lot of beautiful pictures of POC and made references to BLM, but there was not one mention of an actual policy to help end systemic racism. It’s like binge watching a Marriott commercial.

“Reparative planning must be a planning that challenges not only racial inequality, but the whiteness on which it is predicated.” Bravo Rashad Williams! A must read planning article. journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…

Thanks Cities@Tufts for giving me the opportunity to share my research on urban planning, urban politics, and reparations. I had a wonderful time!

And that’s a wrap on #UAA2023! @GSPIA had an amazing time at the conference engaging in discussions about urban life and sharing action-oriented research to understand and shape a more equitable urban world. Huge thanks to Urban Affairs Association for a great event!
