Fascinating thread on a heavy Twitter user I wasn’t previously aware of. Reading it really brings home a simple point that we can overlook when looking to explain disinformation: people lie on the internet (and in real life) because the attention it brings feels good.

Hot take: I was a choral singer for more than 20 years and it’s dumb that any voice or singing was included in a list of instruments. I think “the voice is an instrument” is something choir singers tell ourselves to feel parity with actual instrumentalists.

Don’t often dadpost but Mr 4 Months had his first solo bath with me last week and scream cried his way through it. Tonight we had another crack and he was brave and smiled and had a little splash. So proud of my guy!

Read, Psychologists say, one of the top ten phobias is Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns - nobody's sure why. I suppose you can pretty well manage to live your life without running into too many clowns.....unless you live in Canberra! (TGIF)

This might be my favorite ADHD tweet of all time. I love thinking of the extra thoughts in my brain symphony as "bonus content" (it's a great reframe of an ADHD trait that's often labelled as a negative).

Landed in Hobart today and on approach the pilot came on the intercom to say he could see whales in the bay and then came on the intercom again to tell us they were rocks.

Minor in the grand scheme of things but another fun account killed by stupid changes to this platform. I like seeing people in spandex punch and kick and do explosions and sharing gifs of same like a modern form of hieroglyphics.

I'd like to see a Sunday show devoted to the misinformation of the week: Take whatever lie is doing the most damage, debunk it, and explain the motives of those spreading it. And then make it available all week.

Reminder about electoral spam texts generally - they're allowed because parliaments don't ban them. As with so many other things, the AEC has no control.
